Woodlands Rehabilitation department's goal is to provide compassionate, quality individualized care that promotes the health and well-being of its Residents. A licensed therapist will work with you or your loved one and determine specific therapy tools to create an individualized and personal treatment plan in order to obtain a positive outcome; whether it is to possibly return to work or to regain a productive life.
Woodlands offers a wide variety of services including: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Orthopedic Rehab, Short-Term Rehab, Out-Patient Rehab, Cardiac Rehab (Level II) and Restorative Rehab. |
Short-Term Rehab
The primary goal of short-term rehab is to help each patient live as independently as possible. Our rehab team includes physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Therapies are available seven days a week in one of the largest gyms in the area, complete with state-of-the-art equipment. Vital stimulation is also available for those patients with dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing. Each rehab plan is tailored to meet the individual needs of the patient.
Our therapists will schedule a home safety evaluation prior to your discharge to make sure your needs are properly met. If you require home healthcare, medical equipment, or safety features added to your home, we will help make the arrangements. The rehab unit has several spacious, private rooms. Semi-private rooms are also available. The rooms are brightly decorated and provide a tranquil atmosphere. |
Restorative Therapy
A restorative therapy program offers a daily exercise program to reduce contractures, maintain flexibility, and improve balance. Both active and passive range of motion are used. Residents unable to leave their bed receive a variation of the restorative program in the privacy of their own room. |
Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac rehab is also offered in outpatient therapy. Instructions from your cardiologist combined with our state-of-the-art equipment will aid your recovery. Our therapists also teach energy conservation, allowing patients to build up their strength and stamina. |
